The Shopper company developed the Piccolo, a small city-car, which featured a novel body construction system consisting of skeleton of square steel tubes connected by special angular brackets and covered by plasticized sheet metal panels. This made body repairs simpler. Goggomobil mechanicals were used. Marketing was strong but demand was low for this type of car in the 1970s.
