1958 Goggomobil Transporter

The Goggomobil was hugely successful because it was a "real" car in miniature. It was also partly due to an inspired program of models featuring "something for everyone". The car was offered in three body styles, all mounted on the same chassis. These were the 4-seater sedan, or limousine ("Regent" in England), the stylish 2-seat coupe ("Mayfair" in England), and for the small businessman a small delivery van, a Kleintransporter ("Van" in England). The choice of motors, transmissions, etc. was the same for all types except for the Van with its lower gear ratios.
